I now have this information from sources that are above question, so I am taking this opportunity to inform you that Mark Warner has withdrawn from the race for the 2008 nomination for President.  He cited personal reasons. . . the age of his children as well as concern for his elderly parents.  In the case of both his parents and his children, the thought that he would have to be gone much of the time over the next two years was difficult to balance with his feeling of responsibility to his family.  I know that you are disappointed as I am, but I have to respect his commitment to his family, and I know that you will join me in the support of his decision.
