While this might seem a bit far in the future, it is not too early to get ready for the "run/walk" event in support of the UVaYD's. These good people are the future of our party and the candidates that we will be supporting in no time at all, so I hope you will participate, if you wish, or support in any event. It is not too early to send in your form! Thank you, and while you may not see me on the course, I certainly will be supporting! Fred

The University Democrats will be hosting the 5k Run for Office on October 20, 2007 at 10:00 a.m., a fun run/walk event to raise money towards a trip to the New Hampshire primary in January. The 5k will begin at Newcomb Plaza on UVA's grounds, in between the University Bookstore and Newcomb Hall. It is open to everyone, with a registration fee of $15 for adults ($20 on race day) and $10 for youth (under 18) and UVA students ($15 on race day). Enter as an individual or with a team. Come and meet fellow democrats and officials, including Delegate David Toscano who will be announcing the start. Whether running, walking or just watching and cheering on the participants, please join us for a great chance to hang out with fellow Democrats and support UDems.
Send in the attached registration for or visit www.udems.com . Packets will also be available at Ragged Mountain Running Shop. Feel free to email me at sarahabuckley at gmail.com for more information.
Thanks!
Sarah Buckley,
Vice-Chair of the UVaYD's and Event Organizer
