[ACDP-Announce] Reorganization Meeting

Last night, as you know, the Albemarle County Democratic Party reorganized for the next two years.  I wanted to update you on the results of that meeting so that you would be fully informed.    The officers for the next two year are as follows:

    Fred Hudson, Chair
    John Wertman, Vice Chair, Community
    Cynthia Neff, Vice Chair, Administration
    Paul "Kip" Newland, Vice Chair, Special Projects
    Treasurer, Mary Rice
    Valerie L'Herrou, Recording Secretary
    Shirley Copeland, Corresponding Secretary
    Nicole Sherman, Vice Chair, Finance & Development
    Fred Copeland, Vice Chair, Outreach
    Cindy Janechild, Vice Chair, Women's Issues
    Haike Giragosian, Vice Chair, Young Professionals

I know that all of us appreciate the support of the 72 committee members that braved the elements last night to assist in reorganizing.   I also appreciate all 72 making the effort to be there.  This year has been a strange one with the weather, but we had a very good year, and we are all looking forward to having a great 2008!

Soon, I will be sending out the applications for membership in the Committee.   Some people joined last night, and I thank you very much.  But those not attending need to know that the membership is open to you, and I hope you will respond to the request that you join.  It is a good thing, and we all need the support of each other.
