I sent the following message to you 10 days ago or so, and I am excited about the response.  It is going to be a lot of fun, and I hope that we have an outstanding contingent from Albemarle attending!   I wanted you to know that the bus seats are going quickly, and if you are still thinking about going and have would like to participate in the bus opportunity, please let me know as soon as possible. This is going to be a great show, and one you would not like to miss.

The 5th Congressional District Committee is having its Annual Dinner on April 12.  It promises to be an exciting event as the Keynote speaker is Governor Mark Warner.  Several other elected General Assembly members will also be there.  Should be quite an exciting night, and I hope we have a very good contingent from Albemarle County that can attend.  
 
It will be at the Institute of Advanced Learning and Research, 150 Slayton Avenue, Danville.   We have arranged for a bus that can do the driving and room for 24 passengers.  It will depart about 3:30 on that Thursday, and I believe it should arrive back by 11:30.  It will depart to arrive during the Social hour and it will depart immediately following the close of the meeting.  The cost for the round trip bus ride is $30.  This is not your ordinary bus.  It is a nice way to go, and much better than driving, certainly!
 
The dinner "tickets" are $40 for early purchase, and $45 at the door.  The event will begin at 6 with Registration and a social hour.  Dinner will be served at 7.   It should be concluded by 9.   The real exciting part of this is that there can only be a maximum of 288 people attending.  Seats are limited.  That will give you an opportunity to "mix and mingle" with Gov. Warner and the other elected officials that attend.  This is remarkable when you consider the price of the ticket.  We will be getting good treatment for a modest contribution.  I truly encourage all who can attend to do so.  
 
The 5th CD Committee does take Visa and MasterCard, so for that method of purchasing your ticket, please call Cheryl Oliver at 296 1865.  If you would prefer to send your check, then please make it payable to the 5th CD Democratic Committee, and mail it to the Committee at P.O. Box 586, Charlottesville, VA 22902.   We have Sponsorships also available and/ or advertisements in the program for sale. This is an exciting event, and one not to miss.  I hope to see a whole bunch of good Democrats from Albemarle County at the event on April 12.   Please come.
