As Chairman of the House Democratic Caucus, Delegate Moran is working overtime to oppose any significant raid on education, healthcare, public safety and environmental protection to pay for roads. But that’s exactly what House Republican leaders are proposing to do. 
 
He has launched a new website, www.NoRaid.net, to give the grassroots a chance to stand up and oppose this ill-conceived plan. In 2004, Virginians stood together to invest in our core services and now Speaker Bill Howell wants to take that money away. He wants to take the fund needed for teacher pay raises, or long-term care. He wants to pave over any chance at a clean Chesapeake Bay or increased support for our first responders. 
 
Speak out now. Please send this information around to your Democratic committee members. Send them to www.NoRaid.net to sign up and be counted – to let Virginia ’s leaders know that we can’t Rob Peter to Pay Paul. We all want a solution to our transportation crisis, but the costs in this plan are far too high.
