First of all, I would like to take a moment and thank everyone who has helped or is going to help on election day.    It was the "conventional wisdom" that volunteers would be few this year due to the races, but many of you have really come through.   There are still some places to be filled at the polls.  Just let me know, and I will get you into a short period, not over 2 hours, that would be at your convenience.  At the outset of the campaign, I was not sure that we would have good volunteer participation.  But so many of you have helped out.  Thank you all, so much.
 
The second thing is that we need to all go out an vote on Tuesday.  Might seem strange to you that I would make such a statement, but things can come up between now and then, and we don't want to miss the opportunity.   Voting early is particularly important in the East Ivy and U Hall precincts.   The traffic is predicted to be heavy due to the "Police" concert at John Paul Jones arena.  The best way to vote without any possible inconvenience is to vote early.  If you can't vote early, then the only inconvenience is expected to be the traffic.  So don't let that deter you.  The Election Officials have done all they can to make it work for the voter, but they don't control getting to the polling place.  So please vote early, if at all possible.
 
We are going to do very well on Tuesday, if we all get to the polls.  Let's show the Commonwealth that Albemarle County is truly a Democratic County.  We have done it in the past.  Let's do it one more time.  Thank you, and SEE YOU AT THE POLLS!
