[ACDP-Announce] 5th Dinner for attendance

Folks, I hope you are doing well today.   As you know, we are having the Annual 5thDistrict Dinner in Lynchburgon Friday, June 20.  We have several things going  for us.   One is that Ward Armstrong, the Minority Leader in the House of Delegates will be speaking and he endorsed Sen. Obamavery early in the race.  Whatever was your presidential preference before, considering his district, he showed real courage, and all of us should applaud that.  Secondly, we have a great opportunity to engage with all Democrats to bring this party together.  Lastly, with the Clinton position following her Saturday speech, unity is the key word for us for the campaign, and this is a terrific place to start.  All parts of the AlbemarleCounty Democratic party can benefit from a call for unity.  Virginia must be considered pivotal for the Presidential race, and the demands on the 5thDistrict Committee will be considerable.  We need to support the Committee to make our
 Democratic  position in Virginia as strong as possible.   Obviously, the strength of our party and our coming together as Democrats will help Tom Perriello and Mark Warner in their respective races also.  

So,  I hope you will come to the dinner.    We need to bring a good representation from AlbemarleCounty at  the dinner.  Can you come?   It will be at the James River  Conference Center, 5thand Court, in Lynchburg.  Registration starts at 6:30 and dinner at 7:30.  It should be over by 9:30.  The tickets are $45, and the money is used to pay for the dinner and to support the Democratic candidate for Congress from the 5thas well as the Delegate races next year.  It is a very good cause!   It should be fun, a lot of people there, and a great place to celebrate the end of the Primary season and the beginning of the campaign. We have a bus, our way of "mega car pooling", that will be going.  It will leave at 5 PM from the AlbemarleCounty Office Building on McIntireRoad.   The cost is $20, and that gives you the ride down and back in comfort, and wine if you wish.  A terrific deal, and there are still vacancies, but don't delay.
