Folks, the date of our annual BBQ is rapidly approaching.  This year, we are a bit late as the Democratic National Convention occurred at the same time that we usually have been doing the BBQ.   Rather than compete with that exciting event, we moved our date to September 21st.    We will be cooking a fabulous BBQ on Sunday, at Ash Lawn-Highland and we hope to see you there. We will begin at 3 PM, and finish about 7.  This year, we will be celebrating our 20th annual BBQ, and we have an outstanding group of speakers for your enjoyment.  David Toscano, Tom Perriello, and Dick Cranwell, the Chair of the Virginia Democratic Party, and possibly others will be our line-up and it should be exciting from the beginning to end.  Please come out and join us, eat well,  and enjoy a beer or wine in the beauty of this wonderful venue. What an opportunity to see old friends and make new ones.  You have to come out to enjoy all of this and we hope to see you there.  

Tickets are on sale now in two different ways.  Purchase your tickets now and you can save.   The tickets are $20 for adults, $5 for young people who are 6 - 16, and the small ones who have not yet become 6 are admitted for free.  You can drop by the Coordinated Campaign office at 1310 Rio Road East and pick them up between 9 AM and 9 PM.    You can't miss the headquarters due to the political signage.  Just go in, say hi, and buy tickets for the whole family and your friends.   The other way is to call the BBQ HOTLINE at 434 409 5908 and provide your credit card information.  You can receive the pre-purchase price until 6 PM on September 20th if you purchase them at the Coordinated Campaign office.  Tickets will be $25 on the day of the BBQ.    Early purchasing of your tickets will allow you the ability to avoid the lines on the 21st and have more time for your friends.   If your schedule does not permit you to come, you can still help your party by
 mailing a contribution to ACDP, P.O. Box 5698, Charlottesville, VA 22905.     Don't put it off. . . drop by today and pick up your tickets.  

The BBQ is our annual fundraising event, and it gives your Party the ability to publicize the issues that are important to Democrats and to support the candidates that we nominate.  It is a simple mission, but an important one, and I hope you will come out, support the candidates, and support your Party as well.  It will be a memorable event, I promise you.   Please come out and enjoy the evening.
