1.  Help Needed with Back to School Packets
On Thursday, August 17th starting at 9:30 am, the Back-to-School Packets
will be put together at Baker-Butler. We need some volunteers willing to
spend a few hours helping us out. This is also a great community service
activity for your high school student. You can email Michelle Caldwell
(WCaldw5050 at aol.com) for more information or to let her know you are coming
to help. Otherwise, please just show up that morning and give us a hand.


2.  Helping Hands Volunteers Still Needed for Our New Kindergarten Students
­ We really need your help!
If you have some spare time during the first week of school, your help with
our new kindergarten students is needed.
The time commitment is less than 30 minutes for a morning or afternoon
shift, but will help make the transition for these young students go much
easier.
These volunteers assist kindergarten teachers get their students to their
classrooms from the bus for the beginning of the school year.
Please contact Karen Strayer (kdstrayer at adelphia.net) with your preferred
time/dates. We need two parents for each bus.
Dates:  Monday, August 21st to August  30th
Morning (7:35 to 8:00) and  Afternoon (2:10 to 2:20)

3.  School Open House
The Open House for Baker-Butler is this Thursday from 4 to 6 pm. Come check
our your new teachers and classrooms.


4.  Correction For Cub Scouts Pack 111 Cream Social / Pool Party
Cub Scouts Pack 111 is organizing an ice cream social / pool party at FLST
on the last Saturday in August. (Aug. 26) from 4 pm with games and other fun
activities. Every Baker Butler Cub Scout age boy from 1st through 5th grade
and their immediate family are welcome to join the fun!
