Volunteer Orientation Meeting - Reminder
Are you interested in volunteering but don¹t know how to get involved?
We are offering a volunteer orientation on Wednesday, September 27th from
10:00 am to 11:15 am at Baker-Butler Parent Resource Center. This meeting
will be held to discuss upcoming volunteer events and needs. Our first
meeting will focus on how to be an effective volunteer and as well as
discuss the calendar for the year. If you like more information or want to
RSVP for this meeting, you can contact our Volunteer Coordinator Michelle
Sandow at msandow at earthlink.net.


Yearbook Chairperson Needed !!!
We are still looking for a parent to head up this year¹s yearbook committee.
We want our children and their families to have a yearbook to remember this
school year, but we need some assistance from our parents. Previous
experience is not required to help out. Please contact Michelle Sandow,
Volunteer Coordinator, at msandow at earthlink.net  for additional information
and to volunteer. We really need some help here, so please set forward!

Cub Scout Meeting
The school's Cub Scout troop, Pack 111 will have its regular monthly meeting
in the Cafeteria on September 28 from 7 pm. All boys from grades 1-5,
interested in scouting, are welcome to attend!


Grocery Card Link Reminder
We¹ve gotten off to a good start with families and friends linking their
grocery cards to Baker-Butler, but still have to encourage everyone who
shops at these stores to participate. It only takes a couple of minutes and
then we¹re good for the entire school year. So far, Harris Teeter has 70
families from Baker-Butler linked. Last year, we had almost 150. For the
other stores, the numbers are smaller, but they all add up for Baker-Butler.
This is ³easy money² for us, if we can get you to link-up.
  
Please link/re-link your grocery cards to our school again this year by
following  these instructions:

Harris Teeter - Link Baker-Butler at your Harris Teeter using your VIC card
and the School ID - 5455
You can also link your VIC card by emailing me (tompajewski at earthlink.net)
with your VIC card number and last name. I can then enter it into their
system.
