Community Forum
There will be a Community Forum on Diversity at Baker-Butler Elementary
School this evening from 6:30 ­ 8:30.  Please attend and participate in
discussion.  

School Board to Hold Public Hearing on Proposed 2007-08 Funding Request

As part of its budget development process, the Albemarle County School Board
will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, January 31 at 6 p.m. in the Lane
Auditorium, Albemarle County Office Building.
Citizens wishing to speak to the Board may sign up beginning at 4:30 p.m. in
the Auditorium.  Speakers will have up to three minutes to address the
Board. 
Citizens unable to attend the hearing who would like to submit a written
statement to the Board may do so at any time through the Clerk¹s office by
fax at (434) 972-4055, by e-mail at jjohnston at k12albemarle.org or by the
Division website at www.k12albemarle.org.

Inclement Weather Make-up Day
Because schools were closed January 22 due to winter weather, February 20
will now be a make-up day and students will be expected to be in school

Baker-Butler Yearbook
Deadline for submitting orders is February 5th. Please make your $19.95
check payable to the Baker-Butler PTO. The yearbook will be a softcover book
with 52 full color pages. Grades preK to 5 will be included.
We also need help in creating this yearbook. Each classroom will need a
parent volunteer to help obtain digital images of each student in the class
and then work with the yearbook staff to compose a digital layout. For more

If you need financial assistance in purchasing this yearbook, please contact
Mr. Hammon.
