1. PTO Meeting
The first PTO meeting of the year will be taking place next Tuesday
September 25, 2007 starting at 7:30PM in the BBES Media Center. Please plan
on attending and meeting your PTO officers and Baker-Butler administrators.

2. Day of Caring  Wednesday September 19, 2007

3. Parent Input Needed
Dear Albemarle County Public Schools Parents and Guardians,

The Albemarle County School Board has contracted with the Commonwealth
Educational Policy Institute at Virginia Commonwealth University to complete
a study of how well the School Division uses its financial, staff and
capital resources to support student achievement. Part of this process
includes the opportunity for parents, staff members and members of our
community to discuss their views on this matter.

Two opportunities for parents to discuss this study and their thoughts on
how we use our resources have been arranged as follows:

Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2007
6 to 7 p.m. 
Cale Elementary School Cafeteria
1757 Avon Street Extended in Charlottesville

OR

Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007
6 to 7 p.m. 
Sutherland Middle School Cafeteria
2801 Powell Creek Drive in Charlottesville

I hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to tell the
consultants what you think. The results of this study will be used by the
School Board to guide its decision making in budgeting and allocating
resources in the future. Thanks for you consideration in being part of this

4. Grocery Cards - Are you the missing Link?

It¹s time to re-link your grocery savings cards back to Baker Butler
Elementary.  You can do this painlessly on line  the links are below.  You
will need to have your card handy to enter the code on the back.  If you
have your keys or your wallet, I¹m guessing you have your card! Don¹t miss
out on this easy way to help Baker Butler earn equipment and money.

Food Lion - We must have 25 families registered to qualify for the program
this year.
