On-Line Library Resources

Google Book Search & WorldCat are only a click away!

The University of Virginia, along with several other academic libraries
(including Harvard and Columbia), has partnered with Google to scan all
books published before 1923 (plus others for which copyright permission has
been granted) and post them to the web. Thousands of full texts--including
out of print books--are now accessible and searchable on Google Book Search,
and more are being added daily. If you find a book in UVa's online catalog
(Virgo) that is also available digitally, Virgo will link to it.

Coolest of all, if you decide you want one of these digital books in hard
copy, you can click on About this Book, then find it in library to take you
into WorldCat, a website that allows you to search many libraries at once
for an item and then locate it by zip code at a library nearby. Welcome to
the 21st century! http://www.worldcat.org <http://www.worldcat.org/> .
