Dear Baker-Butler Families,
 
We just want you to be aware that we had a fire alarm today, Monday,
February 18, 2008, at about 12:30 PM.  Students and staff were evacuated and
the area fire company responded.  At about 1:15 PM we were told by the
Captain that it was safe to return to the building.  They believe the cause
of the alarm was possibly dust odor on a warm amplifier, which is located in
a closet in the main office.  We shut down the power to the amplifier as a
precaution and our lead custodian has contacted building services to check
out the amplifier. 
 
The students and staff evacuated the building in a calm, orderly and
confident manner, estimated at less than 2 minutes.  Outside, students and
staff were accounted for and remained at their designate locations until the
all clear announcement was given.
