If you want to offer up your opinion on next year¹s proposed school budget,
here is your chance to speak out


The following comes to us from the Parent Council, the umbrella group
representing the Albemarle county school PTOs:

 
Tuesday, January 29th
  
Monticello High School Auditorium
  
6:30pm (public hearing begins)
  
you may register to speak beginning at 4:30pm
  
in the high school auditorium
  
 
  
This location is a change from years past, so it is especially important
that we get the word out of it's location and time, as well as the
significance of having education funding supporters in attendance.
  
Dr. Moran's proposed budget of $159.2 million is the topic for the public
hearing. Dr. Moran included in her budget presentation at least $800,000 of
unfunded initiatives for the school system.  A school system needs growth in
order to continue preparing its students to succeed in the global community.
Please consider speaking in support of education funding during the public
hearing.
