PTO Fundraising Goals
Dear parents,
It is important for each of us to be aware of what the PTO fundraising
goals are and how the money will be spent.
Last year the PTO raised about $18,000 and funded the Junior Achievement
program and an Elmo visual presenter which were our top priorities. The
PTO also on a year basis disburses $100 to each teacher so that they may
buy whatever is required for their class room. Over and above that, the
PTO sponsors several programs throughout the year like School assemblies,
After school enrichment programs and Publishing House.
This year, our Principal, Mrs. Barbara Edwards has given top priority to
equipping the school with more Elmo visual presenters. Each of them is
roughly about $1,800.
As of now, the entire school shares 3 Elmos. For more information on
these, go to
http://www.flatironcomputers.com/elmo_digital_visual_presenters.htm
So the PTO goal is to raise about $20,000 so that we may try to equip
each class with an Elmo. To this end, we are perhaps looking at an annual
contribution of about $75 per child either through direct donations or
through fundraisers.
We thank you for all your contributions both by way or time and money.
And thank you for helping us run a successful PTO.
