[BroadusWood] Final BOS Public Budget Hearing TONIGHT

Parents: The final public hearing before the Albemarle County Board of
Supervisors (BOS) is tonight at 6:00 pm at the County Office Building.  The
Board of Supervisors will soon be setting the tax rate and determining how
much funding the public schools will receive.  The BOS has advertised that
it is considering adjusting the tax rate to $0.71.  This increase would
enable the county to fund many of the items in the school board's proposed
budget that were in jeopardy of being cut.  If you are not planning to
attend the hearing, I encourage you to send an email to the Board of
Supervisors to tell them:

* You support funding the proposed school budget

* You support the tax rate of $0.71 that would be necessary to make such funding possible

* You support strong public schools

* If there are specific needs that your school has, please let the
Board know

All the supervisors will receive your email if you send one email to the
address above.
