Because of Albemarle County's revenue shortfall, the School Board is
considering the following options:
Cutting teacher and support-staff positions
Cutting art, music and physical education programs
Increasing class sizes
Charging for school bus transportation
Charging to participate in athletic programs
Eliminating new textbooks
Eliminating electives
HERE'S HOW YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE:
Let the Board of Supervisors know you care, and are paying attention,
by attending their meeting tomorrow (Wednesday, February 20) at 6 p.m.
in the Lane Auditorium of the County Office Building on McIntire Road.
It's crucial that we communicate to the Board of Supervisors that
strong public schools make for strong communities, and therefore they
should fully fund the School Board's requested budget (knowing that
significant cuts have already been made).
In addition, please EMAIL, CALL, and WRITE ALL members of the Board
of Supervisors

Dennis S. Rooker (Jack Jouett)
