Volunteers Needed for This Thursday!!
*         Lost & Found – We need several volunteers who can come sort and
organize our lost & found into boxes that will be placed on the cafeteria
stage for easier access.  We also need 1-2 volunteers who can come in every
few weeks to keep the lost & found organized over time.  Please contact
Shelley Payne at 984-6862 or shp33 at earthlink.net

*         Office Staff – We need two volunteers who can answer the phones
for our office staff this Thursday morning.  Please call Ms. Bressan at
295-5101 between 10:00 and 3:00 if you can help.

Winter Choral Concert Tonight!
Come out and enjoy our wonderful choral groups tonight.  The 6th grade will
perform at 6:00 P.M. and the 7th and 8th grade will perform at 7:00 P.M.
with a reception following.

Dear Burley PTO and School Community,
Thank you seems to be such a small way of expressing how very grateful we
are to you for the tremendous support, comfort, and caring you have shown my
family and me after losing our loved ones.  Burley Middle School is truly a
Very Special place and I am proud and honored to be a part of its Community.
Again, thank you and may your Holiday be filled with JOY, HOPE, AND LOVE!

Burley Bear Market
We have received several responses but we would still like to hear from
anyone interested in joining a committee to start planning the Burley Bear
Market to be held in May.  The Burley Bear Market is a wonderful craft fair
that was last held two years ago.  Unfortunately, no one stepped forward
last year to help coordinate the event.  We don’t want that to happen again!

Bullying Surveys Still Needed
Parents please remember to turn in your blue school climate surveys in the
postage paid envelopes that were sent to you in November. The school sent
out post cards earlier this month to parents who have not returned their
surveys. If you have misplaced your survey, call Julia Weed at Burley and
leave your name, so that we can send you a replacement survey. Please fill
out the survey and encourage other parents to do the same, so that we have
more complete and accurate information about bullying and the general school
climate at Burley. This is part of our effort to keep Burley a safe and
supportive place for learning.
