Volunteers Needed
The PTO is looking for a few volunteers for our upcoming events.  Please
contact Shelley Payne (984-6862 or shp33 at alumni.virginia.edu
<mailto:shp33 at alumni.virginia.edu> ) to help.  Thanks!!
*         Assembling 1st Day Packets – Week of August 14, specific
times/days to follow
*         Staffing PTO Table at New Student Orientation, Wednesday, August
16 – shifts starting at 5:30 P.M.
*         Fall Fundraiser Committee – this is our biggest fundraiser of the
year and we need lots of people to help make it happen!

PTO President
Unfortunately, our PTO President Andrea Trank will be stepping down this
year since her son will no longer be a student at Burley.  She has been a
terrific member of the PTO and all of her energy and ideas will be sorely
missed!  This means that the PTO is looking for someone to step forward.
The Burley PTO is very lucky to have a strong core group of volunteers who
head up our major events, so the President’s job not as onerous as it might
sound.  If you or someone you know would be interested in this position,
