Monticello High School PTSO Officers Needed
The purposes of the PTSO as stated in the by-laws are to:
1. Assist the staff at Monticello High School in providing the best
program of education possible;
2. Promote the welfare of Monticello High School; and
3. Assist in the continuous improvement of school facilities.
To help accomplish these, the PTSO functions are the support the school,
engaging in activities designed to support and celebrate students' academic
successes.
OFFICERS NEEDED for the 2006-2007 School Year are as follows:
a.) Treasurer Prepare monthly reports for PTSO meetings;
balance checking account; pay expenditures for PTSO (small budgeting). No
fundraising only private donations acquired throughout year.
b.) Volunteer Community Outreach Coordinate volunteers throughout
year with different PTSO sponsored functions. Such as volunteers for Back to
School Night, Teacher Appreciation Week (contacting area businesses to
acquire prizes and donations for week), Prom Dress Sale being held in March
2007.
c.) Secretary Taking notes at the monthly meetings and reporting
them back at each monthly meeting.
d.) Parent Council Representative Monthly meetings with committee
at the County Office Building. Taking notes to report back to the PTSO at
each monthly meeting.

abuse of prescription drugs has become "an entrenched behavior" that many
