Parent Conferences Scheduling Note
Due to Ms. Bressan’s responsibilities as school secretary (attendance,
announcements, bus changes, etc.), please call to schedule your conference
between the hours of 1:00 and 3:00 PM only .  Thank you!
On-Line Opportunity for Fundraiser!
Dear Parents,
Our Magazine Subscription Fundraiser is coming to an end.  Since we are
still short of our school fundraising goal we are extending our sale with
online shopping.  You can order your magazines online plus this site has
great gifts and quality gift-wrap and, best of all, our school will continue
to benefit.  If you haven’t had an opportunity to participate in the
magazine fundraiser (or if magazines just aren’t your “thing”) then please
consider visiting this site.  In addition, sales over this weekend will
count towards your child’s prize levels.
Please feel free to pass this information along to friends and family, too!

Please keep Burley’s School ID handy and help us reach our goal! Please go
on-line today (and over the weekend) and SHOP!
Please note, historically we don’t “do” gift wrap since several of our
feeder elementary schools rely on that for their fundraising.  However, we
can’t restrict this site to just magazine subscriptions.  We apologize in
advance for any conflict with wrapping paper sales.  Thanks!
Special Education Advisory Committee Parent Rep
Margaret Davies is the parent representative for the parents of special
education students at Burley this year and attends the monthly meetings of
the Special Education Advisory Committee.  Parents of Special Education
Students that have concerns or suggestions about their child in the program
may contact Margaret at embreedavies at yahoo.com
<mailto:embreedavies at yahoo.com> .  She will then bring up these concerns or
suggestions at the next meeting.
Cross Country Running at Monticello High School
All students from Burley are now able to be part of cross country running at
Monticello High School.  All 6th and 7th graders can join the cross country
running club.  The club members meet twice a week.  Club members have the
option of attending more often if approved by the coach.  Club members can
pick the two days of the week that work best for them.
All 8th graders have the option of being on the club or the JV Cross County
Team.  If an 8th grader wants to be on the JV Team they must commit to
attending practice everyday for the better part of October.  8th graders
also have the option of being on the club and attending practice only twice
a week.  Anyone who is interested should contact Erin Wise-Ackenbom at

have a sports physical on file with the MHS Athletic Office dated after May
1, 2006.  Transportation from Burley is provided every day after school for
both the club and JV team.
