PTO Open House Tonight!
Just a reminder that our PTO Open House is tonight starting at 7:00 PM.
Tonight is also Parent Night at the Book Fair.  We hope to see many of you
there!!
Open House Schedule:
5:30 – 7:00 PM
?          Visit the Book Fair in Room 214.
?          See the latest art work produced by Burley students.  Try to
guess which pieces currently hang in Ms. Howard’s and Mr. Granger’s offices.
You’ll see Dreamworlds, Self Portraits, Sign Language Drawings & you’ll find
out about Artsonia!
?          Visit Ms. Cutright (Room 223) for information about the European
trip and/or Gifted Services (starting at 6 PM).
At 7:00 PM, Join us in the Auditorium for a PTO Update:
?          Informational discussions about EXPO Night’s Silent Auction and
The Burley Bear Market
?          Update on recent and future PTO events
?          Who’s Who in Your PTO – We Need YOU!
?          Plus additional discussion items:
?          Evening meetings – would you come?
?          If so, what do you want to talk about?
?          Internet safety?
?          Bullying?
?          Cafeteria food?
?          Adolescent behavior issues?

Donations Needed for Students Make a Difference Day at Burley
The Related Arts and PE Team is participating in Make a Difference Day!
We are asking your help in collecting used, but usable, sports equipment
that you no longer use.  If you would be willing to part with any of the
following equipment, please call either Sara Severs or Lynn Boyd at
295-5101.  All donations will be distributed to kids in the Burley
community.
Equipment that we are seeking:
*         Baseball/softball gloves
*         Baseball/softball bats
*         Cleats
*         Lacrosse sticks
*         Tennis racquets
*         Football pads
*         Footballs
*         Basketballs
*         Bike helmets
*         Bikes
*         Golf clubs

Bullying Survey Mailed This Week
Parents, please be on the lookout for a blue envelope in the mail containing
the Burley School Climate survey for parents. As part of our bullying
prevention program, we want input from all parents. Please fill out this
1-page survey for each of your children at Burley and return it in the
postage-paid envelope.
Glue Sticks Needed
Ms. Pemberton is in desperate need of glue sticks!  Her class is using
interactive notebooks this year and is using glue sticks almost every day.
As you can imagine, they are going through a glue sticks at an alarming
rate!  Send in your donation to the front office to Ms. Pemberton’s
attention.  Thanks for your help!
