We will be serving 2,666 children this year from Albemarle, Buckingham,
Charlottesville, Fluvanna, Greene, Nelson and Orange. We are hoping to
collect 15,000 toys and 8,000 books.
IMPORTANT: Due to the large number of toy recalls this year, we can only
take NEW TOYS. No used toys will be accepted.
Our most requested toys this year are Barbie, Bratz, Dora the Explorer,
Hannah Montana, High School Musical, Littlest Pet Shop, Spiderman,
Transformers, Remote Control cars & trucks, Bikes, Arts & Crafts, Sports
balls, dolls, Skateboards, Cars & trucks, CD players, Board Games, Legos, &
Magnetix.
We also rarely have enough donations for the middle school children, so
don't forget things like Make-Up, Music, Jewelry, Games, and activities for
them. We do accept cash donations and that money is often used for these
older children. We will be accepting cash, check & credit card donations at
the Fashion Square Mall. You can also make a credit card donation from our
web site HYPERLINK "http://www.toylift.org/"www.toylift.org
We still need boxes, boxes, and more boxes! We also still have volunteer
spots available, esp. Friday and Saturday at the distribution center. We are
also still looking for another Santa for after 1:00. E-mail us at
toylift at gmail.com if you can help with boxes or volunteering.
