6 th Grade Field Trip Cancelled Today 



The 6 th Grade Field Trip to Pamplin Park has been cancelled today due to the weather conditions. 



After School Activities Cancelled Today 



All Albemarle County Public Schools’ after school activities have been cancelled today due to weather conditions. 



Lost & Found – Volunteers Needed Tomorrow!! 



WE NEED VOLUNTEERS TOMORROW AFTERNOON!!   We are inundated with Lost & Found items already.   In order to help return lost items to their owners, we need volunteers to come in tomorrow (Thursday) afternoon to help put everything out on tables prior to the upcoming holiday concerts.   Please come to the school at 2:00 and check in at the front office.   You can stay for as little or as long as you are able.   We hope to have everything out before school dismisses at 4:00.   Thank you!! 



Toy Lift Volunteers Needed This Weekend 



Please, we need your help this weekend!   Nearly 40 Burley families will be receiving gifts from the Toy Lift this year.   We need about 12 volunteers from Burley to help box these items this Saturday and Sunday.   Unfortunately, our past calls for volunteers have brought forth very few responses!   We know that everyone is busy at this time of year, but this is a wonderful activity that can help bring back the true meaning of the season to your family. 8 th Grade Field Trip to CATEC Friday 



8th grade student will tour the Charlottesville Albemarle Technical Education Center (CATEC) on Friday, Dec.7.  This field trip is part of the various activities planned for them to make them aware of the many opportunities available in high school. The school newsletter will be forthcoming with all the details and dates for high school registration. The busses will leave for CATEC at 9:25 AM and return by 11:55 AM.  When you ask your 8 th grader on Friday, “What did you do in school today?” they should have plenty to tell you about their experience at CATEC. 



School Directories 



The School Directories were distributed to those students who submitted directory forms.   Please check your child’s backpack if you haven’t seen your copy yet. J 



Bearettes Competing on Christmas Idol 



Please remember to check out Z95.1’s Christmas Idol contest at www.literockz951.com and vote for our Burley Bearettes!   We are not sure of the day they will be on, but will let you know when we do!
