Lost & Found
The holidays snuck up on us and we didn’t get the Lost & Found sorted and
organized as completely as we hoped.  Therefore we will be working this
Friday starting at 10:30 AM and going until the early afternoon to tame this
wild beast.  Please contact Shelley Payne at 984-6862 or HYPERLINK
"mailto:shp33 at earthlink.net"shp33 at earthlink.net if you can help.  We are
also looking for a small group to come in every few weeks to sort and
organize the Lost & Found so that it doesn’t get out of control again.
Please contact Shelley if you would like to work with this group.
Program Change with Campbell Soup Labels
Campbell’s has changed the way they do the soup labels.  Instead of the
entire label, we only need to send in the UPC codes.  You can continue to
send in the whole label and we will make sure that the correct portion is
sent in, just please make sure you don’t damage the UPC code on the label
when you remove it.  Thanks!

Survey on PE for Children with Disabilities
Are you interested in community based PE for your child with a disability?
Tom Moran, Program Director of Just for Kicks is asking for your feedback:
I am asking you to complete this brief survey to identify your interest in
having a community based physical education service available for your child
or adult with disabilities. Our services are designed to provide adapted
physical education services to your child/adult in a community setting. Your
child/adult will be taken to local community facilities and work on
identified adapted physical education goals, designed by you, the parent,
with assistance from the service provider.   For example, if you would like
your child to learn how to swim, we will take them to the local YMCA or
fitness facility and work on swimming. If you would like your child to ride
a bike, we will help you find an appropriate bike to fit their needs as well
as teach them to ride.
As an individual with Cerebral Palsy, I wished there were services like this
available when I was young. I did not have an opportunity to participate in
community based programs. Now, as a Certified Adapted Physical Educator, I
would like to offer these services to assist your children in becoming
increasingly active within our community.
This idea is only in the beginning stages.  This survey is designed to
inform me of the interest and concerns parents may have with a community
based physical education service.  The link to the survey is:
