Band Concert Date Correction
Please note that the Band and Strings concert will be held next Thursday,
December 6 at 7:00 P.M.  The incorrect date was entered into the Burley
calendar by mistake.  Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. 
Kid’s Lift Foundation Volunteers Needed
We have many families at Burley who will receive gifts from the Kid’s Lift
Foundation in December 2007.  Volunteers will be boxing items on Saturday,
December 8 and Sunday, December 9.  Also, because of EXTREMELY limited
parking, we are asking all volunteers to car pool to the Distribution
Center, which is the old Leigh building on Avon Street ext. across from
Edgecombs and just South of the Park & Ride. We are asking everyone to meet
at Cale Elementary School and then car pool to the site. Cale has graciously
agreed to allow us to use their parking lot Friday after 5:00, all day
Saturday and all day Sunday. This would make it much easier for everyone
involved.
If you are interested in helping box gifts for members of the Burley
Community, please let me know by December 3.

Grocery and Store Card Programs – Low Support!
Disappointingly, we have had a VERY low turn out from Burley families to
designate Burley on their grocery store cards – so far only 30 people have
designated Burley with Giant!  We have over 400 families here at Burley and
should have much higher participation.  The good news is that it only takes
a few minutes of your time to correct this situation. 
Just link your grocery store cards along with your friends and relatives to
Jackson P. Burley Middle School (note: listed in the “J’s”! -- Jackson P.
Burley).  Every time you shop, use your card/s and Burley will earn points
toward cash and supplies.  There is absolutely no cost to you and gives all
of us an opportunity to make Burley a better place for our children.  Below
is all the information to sign-up.
