Help Needed for Monday's Concert

Dear Burley Families-

There are still areas of critical need for the incipient visit of the Ohio
University Men's Chorus this Monday.  If you haven't already considered the
following facets of the production, please do.  Any contribution helps!

Host Families

As this is a free, out of the way performance, the University students will
need a place to stay.  If you have a spare bed and can provide basic
amenities, your contribution would be greatly appreciated.  These are not
stereotypical "college kids;" they are artists on a goodwill tour and
understand and value greatly the trust placed in them.  A host family is
asked to provide transportation to their home following the concert on
Monday, a private room with a clean bed, access to a restroom and shower, a
basic breakfast, and transportation (not via school bus!) back to Burley the
next morning (Tuesday) no later than 9:00 AM.

Pot Luck Dinner

We are asked to host a dinner for the ensemble the evening of the concert
(Monday).  We will need to provide food for about 55 people. We are looking
for a coordinator for this aspect of the event and for volunteers who can
bring nourishing casserole-style dishes, side-dishes, and salads.

Cale Fun Run

Cale Elementary is sponsoring a 5K/1 mile fun run at Cale on Saturday May
17th at 8:30 AM.  The proceeds from the race go to support Cale's PTO.

Burley Bear Market Clarification

Please note that the proceeds from the sale of the tables goes to support
the Burley Yearbook.  The profits from your items are yours to keep!  

The Burley Bear Market Yard Sale is May 10th from 9am to Noon at Burley
Middle School on Rose Hill Drive.

Tables are just $10.00!

Bring your yard sale items and make some extra cash!  All proceeds go to the
Burley Yearbook Fund.
