Dance Rescheduled
The March Dance has been rescheduled to Friday, March 28 from 4:15 – 7:00
P.M.
PTO Meeting Special Guests
The Burley PTO is pleased to have Superintendent Pam Moran and School Board
Member Ron Price attending our PTO meeting this Friday, March 7 in the Media
Center at 8:00 A.M.  As always, PTO meeting are open to all parents,
teachers and staff who wish to attend.
Chorus Needs Volunteers
Mr. Jennings is taking the advanced choirs to the VMEA District 13 choral
festival next Thursday, March 13.  He needs 8 to 10 adults who can volunteer
to serve as chaperones and support staff from 9:30 - 3:30 that day.  Please

Community Forum on Cyber Safety -- A Who's Watching Charlottesville
Presentation
March 18, 2008
6:45 - 8:30 p.m.
Monticello High School will host a Community Forum on Cyber Safety Awareness
for Southern Feeder Pattern families on March 18, 2008. The program begins
at 6:45 p.m. in the forum at the Monticello High School. Community
representatives will help us understand popular websites like Facebook,
MySpace, Friendster, Flickr, and Blogspot that are often used by our
children. They will give you an opportunity to ask such questions as how
much information should be included on a social networking site or how can
parents monitor for safety? They will also address the risk to children and
teens from online predators and the role of law enforcement.
Past participants have found this presentation to be informative. If you
have questions about the overall program, contact Dr. Bernard Hairston,
Office of Community Engagement  at 293-0288 or Jan Mawyer at Monticello High
School at 244-3100.
