Teen Health Night Tonight!!!
Please make plans to attend our Teen Health Night tonight.  Come for as
little or as long as you like.  We know that we will have volleyball and
lacrosse games and/or practices going on tomorrow so plan on dropping by
while you’re at the school.  We will be down in the Media Center starting at
5:30 and will have 4 ½-hour information sessions beginning at 6:00 P.M. 
Here is the schedule of the topics we’ll cover:
*         Poison Awareness for Parents and Teens, 7:00 & 7:30
*         Acne: Truths and Myths, 6:00 & 6:30
*         Strength Training Techniques, 6:00 & 7:00
*         Yoga Demonstration, 6:30 & 7:30
*         Teens and Sleep, 6:00 & 7:00
*         Fact and Fad – helping teens make healthy food choices, 6:30 &
7:30
*         Safe Surfing on the Internet, 6:30 & 7:30
*         Conversation on Adolescent Healthcare, 6:00 & 7:00
*         Prevention of Knee and Ankle Injuries, 6:30 & 7:30
*         How to Talk to Your Child About Sexuality, 6:00 & 7:00
*         Dating and Sexual Violence Among Teens, 6:00 & 7:00
 
Learn about Nanotechnology!
NanoDays - a week of public outreach centered on the science, risks and
rewards of Nanotechnology that is being held nationwide during the week of
March 30 - April 6.
At UVa, there will be a NanoDays Open House on Sunday, March 30 from 2-5 pm,
with (a) numerous interactive demos for both kids and adults, (b) multimedia
movies, web presentations and posters, (c) tours of our major nanolabs, and
(d) a discussion with author Rosalyn Berne about her book NanoTalk (in
conjunction with VA Festival of the Book).  These activities are being
hosted by The Institute for Nano and Quantum Scientific and Technological
Advanced Research (nanoSTAR) in the new state-of-the-art research building,
