FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 17 IS WALK TO SCHOOL DAY!
If your family lives close enough, we encourage you to allow your student to walk to school on November 17. If you drive your children, on Walk-to-School day we ask that you to consider dropping them off from 7:15 - 7:20 a.m. at the Crozet Baptist Church and walk to school. The "walking school bus" will depart from the church for the school at 7:20 a.m. Children who ride the bus will be dropped off at the school and have the chance to walk around the campus of the school before coming to class.
Remember to Walk or Bike to School Safely!!
Why Walk?
· Encourage physical fitness with the easiest-to-do and most enjoyable form of exercise while also teaching children the skills to walk safely.
· Raise awareness of how walkable a community is and where improvements need to be made.
· Raise children's awareness of the local environment.
· Reduce traffic congestion, pollution, and speed near schools.
Share valuable time with community leaders, parents, and children
