Albemarle/Charlottesville:
PREP (Diane Talarico-Cavanaugh, Autism Specialist and the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Parent Resource Center), along with Beth Schrank at Walker Upper Elementary School in Charlottesville are planning to host a three to four week group for 5th and 6th grade students with Aspergers Syndrome, with concurrent sessions for parents. The student focus would be on social skills development, communication, and behavior. The final session would be a community outing. Parent sessions are open to parent suggestions. We are trying to get an idea of interest - our preference is Tuesday evening, with dinner included, beginning late October. Everything (besides the community outing) is free. Interested? Sarah Blech - sblech at k12albemarle.org or 975-9400 ext. 2342 or Diane Talarico-Cavanaugh - dtcavanaugh at k12albemarle.org ext. 2340
