[CrozetEagle] Volunteers Needed

Beautification Committee:  Laura Daly, who so graciously is volunteering her time (and her husband, Brian's) to make the grounds at <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Crozet School more beautiful, could use some help! <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> 

Specifically, she needs a group to help with landscaping one Saturday at the end of October or beginning of November.  The group will be trimming bushes, edging beds, mulching, and weeding the front of the school.  Anyone with tools, interest, pick-up trucks (for the mulch) etc...please contact Laura via phone or e-mail.   Her phone number is 823-1552, and her email address is dalytrio3 at earthlink.net.  

 Also, the Kindergarten and 1st graders are going to be planting butterfly gardens in the courtyard planters, so if any parents are interested in that project, let the k-1 teachers know of your interest.

 

 Fun Fair:  We need a volunteer to chair the Fun Fair.  The Fun Fair takes place in the spring, and in the past, has been our primary fundraiser for the PTO.  Since we are doing other types of fundraisers this year, we're not depending on the Fun Fair quite as heavily, but I can assure you, if we don't have a Fun Fair, the revenue will be missed AND the kids will miss the Fun!  This job as Fun Fair Chair is labor-intensive, and requires a person that is good at organization, leadership, and is detail-oriented.  I'm confident that the chair would have great sub-committee volunteers, but I need someone that can take on the leadership position to bring it all together.  (Also, I need last year's Fun Fair Chairs to turn in the organization binders asap, if you have not already done so!  If you have, please let me know where they are.)  Please let me know if you are interested.  Remember, it is all of our children who benefit from the $ raised by the PTO!
