Crozet Walks
October 20 is International Walk to School Day
This year we will be holding our first annual International Walk to School Day this Friday, October 20. On this day, Crozet families are invited to join students in more than 33 countries around the world to walk together - for fitness, fun, energy, focus, awareness, and strength!
If your family lives close enough, we encourage you to allow your student to walk to school on October 20. If you drive your children, on Walk-to-School day we ask that you to consider dropping them off from 7:15 - 7:20 a.m. at the Crozet Baptist Church and walk to school. The "walking school bus" will depart from the church for the school at 7:20 a.m. Children who ride the bus will be dropped off at the school and have the chance to walk around the campus of the school before coming to class.
Thank you for your support of this important activity that helps kids develop healthy and safe habits. If you have questions or would like to help with International Walk to School Day please contact the Safe Routes to School Program coordinator, Caroline Heins at 295-6554, or the Crozet walk to school chairperson Angela Saunders at 823-9816
