Budget News 





As many of you are aware, the County has changed the timing of the school budget approval procedure from last year. Below are the important dates for the School Board and the budget process, with the meetings marked with a $$ representing budgetary meetings. This year the Superintendent will present the budget to the Board of Supervisors at the December 19 th School Board Meeting. The public is welcome. The change in timing is an attempt to avoid the last minute scramble the county went through last year. In an effort to involve as many members of the public, and to address as many concerns as possible, the School Board will be hosting a Tele-Town Hall Meeting on January 16th at 7 pm. This meeting will be done via-telephone, and anyone called with have the option of staying on-line to participate, or not. More information concerning this Town Hall Meeting will be posted on the Albemarle County School web site. http://schoolcenter.k12albemarle.org
