Student Make a Difference Day – Need volunteer to help coordinate 

Laura Daly is this year’s (parent) chair of the Student Make a Difference Day committee.  In the past we have also had a teacher co-chair, but I’m unsure if we do this year.  Student Make a Difference Day is on Saturday, October 27 .  A flyer with the details of our school’s project came home yesterday in the Tuesday envelopes. 



I am writing to ask for volunteers to help Laura with this.  She is will be away from this Thursday – Monday, and needs someone to help her with the some of the details for planning the event.  If you are willing to help, please respond to this email and I’ll pass your name along to Laura. 



Dining and Attractions Guide – 30 missing books 

Also – we still have 30 Dining Guides out – not paid for, but not returned.  If you have one of the 30, please return it or pay for it.  Checks can be made payable to Crozet Elementary School PTO for $25.00.  Remember, our school gets 50% for each book sold. 



Gift Wrap Fundraiser 

Next week, we will begin our gift wrap and cookie dough fundraiser.  Parents and Teachers -- please consider purchasing your holiday wrapping paper through the school with this fundraiser.  Everyone needs wrapping paper, and the quality of this gift wrap can’t be beat.  We get 50% from the gift wrap and 40% from the cookie dough.  Last year we had 10% participation from our parents and almost 0% participation from teachers – PLEASE support this fundraiser – the $ is going to pay for budgeted items that we approved for THIS YEAR!  



Silent Auction 

Another big fundraiser for Crozet Elementary is the Silent Auction, which we held in late winter/early spring of last year.  This year we are considering having the entire auction be an online auction.  As of yet, we do not have a chair for this event.  We lost our chairs from last year -- Barbara Congdon due to redistricting, and Kim Connolly, whose son has moved on to middle school.  Please consider helping with this very important fundraiser for our school.
