The main agenda item for the April 15 th PTO meeting (7:00 pm in the School Library) is how we want to raise money next year to support our PTO budget. At the May meeting we will develop the budget and approve (or not approve) specific budget items requested by faculty. In preparing for the April meeting, I’d like for everyone to start thinking about what fundraisers we want to take on next year. What has worked, what hasn’t, when to have them, etc. You are welcome to give me your feedback now as well – you don’t have to wait for the meeting. However, please do let your voices be heard, so come to the meeting in April and May – and while they are all fun J , these are our two most important PTO meetings of the year.
Here are the fundraisers we did this year (and last):
Dining and Attractions Guide
Sally Foster Wrapping Paper
Spaghetti Supper and Book Fair (Book fair $ does not go to PTO)
Silent Auction
Fun Fair
Voluntary contributions (did not do a campaign for this year, but we have in year’s past).
The Barnes & Noble Book Fair (details to follow shortly) to be held on June 9th . Not only is
this an easy event to orchestrate, it will also foster summer reading for all of our students. It is my hope
that we can further discuss the June 9th details at the April 15th meeting as well.
Pancake breakfast at Applebee's for the beginning of next year's fundraising efforts.
Of course, we need volunteers for all of the above as well to make them successful, so in addition to thinking about what we should do, please think about how you can help.
