WOW! What A Fun Fair!    Thank YOU!     Thank YOU! 

Special Thanks to Brenda Yordy and her whole crew for a well-run, inspiring community event. It is well appreciated and will be fondly remembered for years to come! 

Much thanks to all the volunteers for activities for next year. I am still looking for volunteers for Student Make A Difference Day, the Beautification Committee, Phone call volunteers, and a few others. Please email me at dweikle at gmail.com or call 823-5883 if you are interested in any of these possibilities, or would even just like to know more about them. 

This Monday, June 9, is our Barnes and Noble Fund raiser. You have received information about this in the Tuesday folder. I still need parent volunteers to supervise a table, and encourage patrons to mention Crozet Elementary when they check out. This is a fund raiser that has the potential to bring in money from outside our immediate school community. The teachers will be reading books and it should be a nice opportunity to hang out, listen to stories in air-conditioning, and sign up for the Barnes and Noble reading program. This program distributes free book(s) to kids who document a certain amount of reading over the summer. If you have an hour that day to spend at the Charlottesville store – please call or email me dweikle at gmail.com . Also, please ask your friends from every school to mention our school if making purchases that day! 

Finally, one last big thank you to all who have helped in the classrooms and with our fund raisers. Here are some of the items that have been purchased with PTO funds over the last year: $3,000 of books for our book room, funding for the Book Buddy program, the technology websites, color ink for the color printer, Time for Kids and National Geographic subscriptions, a document camera for school-wide use, new risers for performances, Teacher Appreciation meals and many more! If you ever want a detailed look at the budgets or fund raising, don't hesitate to ask.
