Subject: This Week! - Crozet Old School Re-use Workshop
Albemarle County and the Board of Supervisors are asking Crozet what to do with the old Crozet School.
There are many different opinions about the future of the Old School. Some say to tear it down for playing fields - what do you think? Or, should we open it as a Community Center with space for classes, a theater/performance space, a senior center, artist's studios, a youth rec center. What do you think should be done with this site?
This is our chance to tell the Board of Supervisors what we want. If you cannot make it to the workshop, then there is an online comment form (at the County website, see link below) for you to make your suggestions.
Workshop Reminder: At Western Albemarle High School, Thursday the 19th, from 7-9pm to hear about similar projects. Friday from 10am-6pm & Saturday from 9am til 3pm - Drop in & make a suggestion. There will be a concluding presentation Saturday at 3pm . Make your voice heard!
I have been working with the committee set up to explore the options - Ann Mallek has attended these meetings. We have a Supervisor who is interested & paying attention. Sounds like a great opportunity for Crozet - let's show that we care. Be sure to fill in the online comment form if you are unable to make it to the workshop at Western Albemarle High School.

Tell your friends!
Thanks,
