We had our day in court today! The Albemarle County Circuit Court today
heard arguments for the Ivy community's case vs. Albemarle County
appealing the 9/11/01 decision of the Board of Zoning Appeals related to
the Faulconer Construction project. The case lasted the entire day and
the judge said he expected to have a decision within 2 weeks. The Ivy
Community Association was very well represented by our attorney Frank
Buck and I think all the major points we needed to bring before the
judge were well covered. Special thanks to the team of volunteers that
poured over Faulconer documents, at the midnight hour, building our case
that Faulconer's operation is something way beyond what should be
permissible in a light industrial site. Stay tuned for the verdict!

NEWS FLASH!!
The Ivy Community Association received notification from the IRS that we
are officially tax-exempt! Now contributions to the ICA can be deducted
as charitable contributions on your tax returns, and this includes
donations made earlier this year.
