Want to know what is happening next on the Faulconer Construction
project?  Want to help with all the plans for the community picnic?
Want to meet the expanded ICA Board of Directors? Come to the next Ivy
Community Association (ICA) meeting!  

WHERE: Murray Elementary 
WHEN: Monday, September 15, 2003, 7:00PM

WHY?  We need your help as we plan for our BIG response to Faulconer's
latest site plan--that's right they have submitted a revised plan with a
new request for critical slope waivers.  Unfortunately, the ICA lost its
legal case in the County Circuit Court last week relating to the 2001
Board of Zoning Appeals decision related to this project [this was
related to an early zoning determination, not a specific site plan].  So
we have to switch gears and plan our response to the plan on the table.

While we prepare for additional legal actions, the community has another
opportunity to show the County that IVY IS NOT ASLEEP when it comes to
projects that will change the character of our neighborhood, possibly
put children at risk on Morgantown Road, and that are completely out of
step with the County's zoning ordinance and comprehensive plans.

The Planning Commission is expected to review Faulconer's request at
their September 23rd meeting [6:00 PM, County Office Building Room
#241].  WE NEED YOU THERE!  Please tell your friends to come to these
meetings and get on our e-mail alert list.
