Subject: [EyesOnIvy] Ivy Action Alert!

The Ivy community is about to be literally run over by oversized loads
on undersized streets. As most of you know Faulconer Construction has
submitted site plans to the county in the past two years. If you drive
on 250 West, this concerns you. Faulconer construction has submitted a
revised site plan and has received the OK from county staff. This means
we need to appear before the Planning Commission again. Many people are
under the impression that the community won at the last PC hearing in
February, but this is not true. The plan was only deferred and it is
back. The same questions are still to be answered. What types of
explosives will be brought in on trucks by Murray Elementary and
Millstone Preschool. How long will they be kept next to these schools.
What will happen when one of these trucks meets a school bus
we have
measured, they can’t pass each other on Morgantown Road.

If you have concerns about water pollution, air pollution, explosive
materials, traffic issues on 250 and school safety:

Here are two steps to saving our community and protecting our children:

1. Attend the Ivy Community Association Meeting
Monday, September 15, 7:00pm at Murray Elementary School to learn
more.
2. Bring your family and at least 5 other people to the Planning
Commission Meeting
Tuesday, September 23, 6:00pm, Room 241of the Albemarle County
Office Building
