Crozet Community Association Members:
 
Important Public Hearing coming up NEXT WEEK regarding the Crozet Master
Plan!   
 
The Board of Supervisors is midway through the process of reviewing the
Crozet Master Plan and they are looking for public input about the Plan.
They will hold a Master Plan public hearing at their meeting, next
Wednesday, August 11, 2004, beginning at 6:00 p.m. in Room 241 of the County
Office Building.  The Board has called this hearing midway through its
consideration of the plan to gather public comment before it begins work on
the plan's funding structure.  Our voices are very important to set the
stage for the Board to begin consideration of the funding structure.
 
 Unavoidable growth is slated for Crozet and the Master Plan is the
blueprint for that growth.  In March, 2004, the County Planning Commission
approved the Plan and sent it to the Board of Supervisors, recommending that
the Board of Supervisors give priority to funding the infrastructure
(schools, roads, library) to support the plan.  This hearing is an important
opportunity for the community to express their thoughts about the plan and
you are needed to participate in this process!
 
 "WHAT CAN I DO?"  
 1.  Speak out -- tell the Board of Supervisors that Crozet deserves a full
and accelerated funding plan to keep pace with growth;   or  
 2. Come to the hearing and lend support by your presence; or  
 3.  Write or email the Board of Supervisors, Attention David Wyant at
bos at albemarle.org or P.O. Box 81, White Hall, Virginia 22987 and say that
Crozet wants action, not just promises!
     If you cannot attend the hearing, please copy your e-mails to
mrice2006 at mindspring.com and we will read your e-mail at the hearing.
