The next Ivy Community Association Meeting will be Thursday, March 16th
at Murray Elementary starting promptly at 7:00 PM. We have three
speakers on the following topics:

1) Faulconer Construction update and review. We have many new
residents not familiar with the history of the Faulconer project on
Morgantown Rd. I will make a brief presentation on the status of this
development now that Faulconer has won a court-ordered approval of
their site plan by Albemarle County.

2) A report on Crozet. Hugh Meagher will provide the Ivy community
with a perspective on growth in Western Albemarle and its potential
impact on Ivy. Crozet leaders contacted us in January seeking to get on
the agenda at our next community meeting. Come learn about the status
of development projects and population estimates.

3) Can you imagine a roundabout at Owensville, 250, and Morgantown?
Come share your opinion with the community and County staff.
Juandiego Wade, Transportation Planner with Albemarle County, will be
on hand to field questions about the proposal being studied by VDOT to
place a roundabout at the intersection of Route 250, Owensville Rd. and
Morgantown Rd. A roundabout was recently installed near the
Charlottesville airport and Charlottesville leaders have been leading
the way to get this transportation concept embraced by VDOT.

To learn more, read this recent article on roundabouts in Virginia:

We will also discuss other transportation options around Morgantown
Road like upgrading the light at Tilman to a full traffic light and
placing a cul-de-sac at the far Western end of Morgantown.

President
Ivy Community Association
