[Gator-Gazette] Parent Notice about Budget

Dear Parents and Guardians,

Use this address, http://www.felker.us/agnorhurt/ParentsGuide.pdf to see "A Parent's Guide to Albemarle County Schools 2004-2005 Budget Hearings."  The Albemarle County Schools Parent Council prepared this document.  Our goal is to keep you informed of this important process and to inform you as to how your voice can be heard to support our teachers and students.  Please take a moment to read the guide.  The guide: 
            *    summarizes the issues affecting the school budget, 
            *    gives you the budget preparation calendar, and 
            *    whom you can contact to let your opinion be known.

Additionally, an important Town Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 3, 2004 for the Northern Feeder Pattern Schools.  This meeting will held in the Jack Jouett Middle School Media Center at 7 PM.  All community members interested in learning about the budget that the Superintendent of the Albemarle County Schools presented to the School Board are invited.  The main components of the proposed 2004-2005 school budget will be reviewed. This is a very important budget for all citizens of Albemarle County, our teachers and for our children.  Please join with parents and others from the Northern Feeder pattern schools to hear this presentation.  This will be an opportunity for parents and citizens to learn more than what the media has said about this year's proposed budget.
