Hello all –

The redistricting committee is meeting again and working on a new plan. Ginny Echelberger, a concerned parent in the county, was kind enough to put together a quick update about what is currently happening. Please find her information below. Additionally, please join us at the Agnor-Hurt PTO meeting Monday March 16th at 6:30 in the Library to discuss this important issue. We need parents to be involved in the process. Also please feel free to share your concerns with the PTO via e-mail by contacting Amy Wicks at amywicks at adelphia.net with information or questions you may have. Thank you for all you do everyday to support Agnor-Hurt!

Cheers,

Amy Wicks
PTO President 2004-2005

I think you have a great idea to let the community know through the email connection what is currently being discussed:

These options are all part of the discussions and possible but not definite.
Earlysville Road back to Broadus Woods

Northfield to Woodbrook
Rio Road, east of the railroad tracks to Burley/Monticello (They are looking at all of Burley possibly going to Monticello)
Rio Road, west of the railroad tracks and the rest of Agnor-Hurt to Jouett/Albemarle

Woodlands Road to Reas Ford coming in to Agnor-Hurt

Remember you can go by the county office building--3rd floor "Support and Planning Services" to look at the public records notebook of all plans and proposals. There have been many iterations and the above descriptions may not be the latest revisions. Some of the lines are still very fluid and they may go back and look at the Alternate Plan submitted by Albemarle staff member, Al Reaser if there is enough support for that. Al Reaser's plan had the least moves for the entire county.

People can write the committee via Diane Behrens: BEHRENS at albemarle.org

Our elected representative is Pam Moynihan who can be reached at:

Web site for Pam Moyniham: http://www.k12albemarle.org/Board/Members/moynihan.htm

Email for Pam Moyniham: pmoynihan at albemarle.org

I'm sure you have ideas of what is important to the Agnor-Hurt parents and can add anything you want or feel is appropriate.

Thanks for helping get this together.

Regards,

Ginny Echelberger
