Dear Parents, 

This week (March 24th - 28th), Henley's Youth Leadership Initiative will be sponsoring a book drive to benefit schools damaged by Hurricane Katrina.  YLI students will be collecting books during homeroom.  Books should be appropriate for elementary or middle school students and should be 'gently used'. 

If you have any unused books around, this would be a great time to clean out your bookshelves!  The homeroom that collects the most books will be treated to a pizza / ice cream party. 

The books will be taken to the Katrina area by volunteers from several 
non-profit organizations in the Charlottesville and surrounding  areas.  This is a great opportunity for students to help other students in need!
