 Teen Health Night, March 29

Burley Middle School is hosting its first annual Teen Health Night on Wednesday, March 29 from 5:30 - 8:30 P.M. We have over a dozen expert presenters from UVa, Martha Jefferson, Region 10, the Health Department and many other local agencies and organizations providing both teens and parents information on a wide variety of topics. There will be presentations on emotional health issues such as suicide, depression and body image as well as physical health topics including nutrition, exercise, injury prevention and hygiene. Teen sexual health issues will also be covered. Participants will be able to choose those presentations that are of most interest to them. In addition to the information sessions, there will be a health fair with information booths, screenings and healthy games and activities. Come get your backpack checked or get a massage. Try an aerobics class or even ballroom dancing!

This event is open to the community so please share this information with you neighbors, friends and family!
