[HenleyMatters] ATTENTION ALL 8TH GRADE PARENTS!

The 8th grade dinner dance is fast approaching, and there are many
opportunities to help!

First: If you have not responded already, please return your child's  
form
with the $15 donation to help defray costs of the event. Tickets are not
sold for the dance, so these donations are key. All 8th grade  
students are
invited to attend.

Second: 8th grade students (and parents!) are encouraged to help  
create the
fabulous decorations for this exciting evening. Come meet with the
decorations committee after school on Mondays from 4 to 5:30 in the  
Henley
cafeteria, or on Sundays from 3 to 5 pm at Allison Cooke's house.

Third: How would you like to own a life-sized Elvis, Marilyn Monroe,  
John
Wayne, Captain Jack Sparrow or Austin Powers? You would?! Here's your
chance: You may "sponsor" a movie star of your own. For $30, your "Star"
will be displayed at Henley to generate excitement, and then after the
Dinner Dance, you will get to take your Star home for your very own!  
What a
great way to honor your student, with his or her own celebrity! If  
you are
interested and would like to know which celebrities are available for
