Albemarle County Releases 2007-08 School Year Calendar





(ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Virginia) – Albemarle County Public Schools has  
released its 2007-08 school year calendar. The calendar can be viewed  
on the School Division’s website at www.k12albemarle.org or (http:// 
schoolcenter.k12albemarle.org/education/sctemp/ 
0c33a50d0846ba8ed997585937a91bd4/1173268516/Calendar0708Final.pdf).   
Important dates on the calendar include:

August 22, 2007: First Day of School
November 21-23, 2007: Thanksgiving Break
December 24, 2007 through January 1, 2008: Winter Break
April 7-11, 2008: Spring Break
June 2, 2008: Last Day of School

The calendar also designates make-up days to be substituted for those  
when schools are closed for full days due to inclement weather. Make- 
up days are used in the order they appear on the calendar. The eight  
designated make-up days are:
February 18, 2008
June 3 through 6, 2008
June 9 through 11, 2008

Families are advised to schedule summer activities after June 11,  
2008 in the event the school year is extended due to the use of make- 
up days.
